There is one thing that I can promise you about my writing. . .

it's never the same thing twice.

In my first book, It’s Nothing Personal, Dr. Jenna Reiner is the victim of a deranged and drug-addicted scrub tech.  Unknown to hospital personnel, Hillary Martin is stealing syringes of narcotics from anesthesiologists’ carts.  In her quest to feed her addiction, the scrub tech injects herself with the drugs, refills the syringes with saline, and sneaks them back to where she found them.  Sadly, Hillary Martin’s crimes extend well beyond mere theft.  She is infected with hepatitis C, and each syringe she slips back onto the anesthesiologist’s cart is contaminated with the potentially lethal virus.  Countless patients become infected, one of which was under the care of Dr. Reiner.  What follows is a painful and heart-wrenching journey as Allison Anders, a ruthless and greedy attorney, attacks Dr. Reiner in hopes of obtaining a monumental settlement.  It’s Nothing Personal is a book about survival and the strength of the human spirit.

My recently completed second novel, In Good Hands, also chronicles the plight of a female anesthesiologist, but the setting is much different.  Dr. Amanda McGowen is beautiful, smart, and talented.  She’s blessed with two lovely children, and an incredibly handsome and devoted husband.  Life for Dr. McGowen should be perfect, but it’s not.  After being brutally attacked in the hospital parking lot following an overnight shift, she begins to seek revenge.  Working in a county hospital, there is no shortage of deserving subjects.  Criminals and lowlifes are the mainstay of her patient population.  Patient by patient, case by case, she perfects her craft.  She becomes a master of allowing patients to remain aware during their surgeries -- paralyzed, but awake.  In Good Hands is a riveting medical tale that will leave you dreading your next surgical procedure.

My blog, thewritemd, is where I have the opportunity to be creative, release, and have fun.  It's my place to display my wit and humor, as well as my cynicism.  My posts have been described as moving, inspiring, irreverent, hilarious, and honest.  I’m not afraid to say what I think.  Whatever the topic, however, my posts always seem to touch readers, and that is truly what it is all about.

I hope you will enjoy my website, my sample chapters, and my blog.  Please contact me if you would like to chat.

Thanks,

Sherry
